Kimberley Smith Reclaiming our vision in Catholic Healthcare is a must but it has to be emphasized at all levels within the acute care structure. Over the past 2 years I have heard managers and directors exclaim how we had to stop offering free meals to the hungry due to the cost we were incurring. An employee on a committee boasted that she was relieved that no more nuns were holding executive positions within our framework because they would constantly give away so much it would cripple us. And a co-worker stating that we have to do this because it's a catholic thing. It is their mission...correction our mission. Lets walk the walk not just talk the talk.16 days ago

Sara Komen-Bonifant Thank you Chris, for this unabashedly faith-filled essay about CHI's mission to fulfil healthcare in the fine Catholic traditions and teachings. It is inspiring and I will be looking forward to your next essay posted to this Group. Never listen to the naysayers. 14 days ago
