  Capital Power Corporation Construction of our Quality Wind Project in B.C. began May 14. Seventy-nine turbines will be constructed at the site near Tumbler Ridge and will have the potential to provide 100 to 200 megawatts of clean, renewable power to British Columbia.

  Capital Power Corporation Yesterday, 57 rail cars passed through Edmonton en route to our Quality Wind Project near Tumbler Ridge, B.C. The units are manufactured in Colorado and will be stored in Rycroft, Alberta, before being sent to the project site. Construction will carry on through fall.

  Capital Power Corporation The first base is put in place at our Quality Wind Project in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Each Quality Wind tower is made up of four separate steel sections bolted together, creating a tower with a combined height of 95 metres and weight of about 210 metric tonnes. The tapered towers have a diameter of four metres at the base and roughly two metres at the top.
