The Boston Bar Association is the hub of the legal profession in Boston Massachusetts. It's mission is to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, and serve the Greater Boston community. Since the late 1700’s when John Adams and other prominent lawyers in Boston organized meetings in the taverns and coffee houses around Beacon Hill, the Boston Bar Association has been putting lawyers in touch with the people they need to know, and expanding the role lawyers have in our communities. Today, with roughly 9,500 members drawn from private practice, corporations, government agencies, legal aid organizations, the courts, and law schools, the BBA continues to advance its reputation as an innovator and opinion leader.
