Bitext has developed NaturalOpinions, an application that is able to detect the topic and extract the sentiment, either positive or negative, about particular product features or brand names. Brand intelligence solutions, based on any media source, traditional media (Press…) or social media (FaceBook, Twitter…) can thus be easily implemented with Bitext's language technologies. Bitext runs a public demo of NaturalOpinions that reads and categorizes opinions from Twitter on brands like iPhone, iPad or iPod.
NaturalOpinions is based the most powerful and flexible technology available in the field of Natural Language Processing: a rule-based approach to parsing content that integrates semantics, syntax and morphology. NaturalOpinions is available in English, and Spanish; and under development for French.
