Benenden Healthcare Society is one of the UK’s leading mutual healthcare societies, providing healthcare excellence for over 105 years. It has a membership of over 900,000 and has a deserved reputation for delivering personable and efficient healthcare, when people need it most.
The Society's members club together, paying just £1.50 a week with the peace of mind that should they need prompt diagnosis and treatment, they can ask for help. Healthcare benefits are offered on a discretionary basis to ensure help is given to those who need it most. Benenden Healthcare's members can be proud to be part of a mutual society where their contributions can help others as well as themselves.
As a not-for-profit society, Benenden Healthcare's members are all equals and without shareholders they can focus on delivering and providing appropriate healthcare and wellbeing services for its members. They have built up a wide range of nationally available health and wellbeing services to cater for all ages and lifestyles.
It currently has 14 regional hospitals each individually selected for their quality and cleanliness and this list is continually reviewed and extended where possible.
The Benenden Hospital in Kent (a subsidiary of the Society) has an excellent reputation with discounts for Society members on fertility treatments and hip and knee replacements of up to 25%.
