Belgrade City Library (BCL) represents the largest public library network in Southeast Europe.
It was created in 1929.
It includes the central library, 13 municipal libraries, 70 branches and 280 employees covering 2 million city residents. Circulating collections total more than 2 million items. Each year BCL presents over 3000 cultural events and various educational and entertaining programs and workshops.
BCL provides open access to its physical and electronic collections and information, as well as to its services.
