Bay View is a full service lab, serving dentists through three generations and almost 75 years. Owners Buddy and Rick Shafer are both Board Certified Technicians and work full time at the bench. They are joined by an experienced team of technicians and support staff with a shared passion for dental technology.
The lab has two main departments; general dentistry, led by Buddy, and comprehensive dentistry including diagnostic, implant, removable, and complex casework, with master technicians involved at each level. Rick Shafer specializes in cosmetic work. Our knowledge, philosophy and keys to success have been a solid foundation with the Pankey/Dawson concepts in occlusion and function.
We take a very simple and pragmatic approach to basic general restorative dentistry. Our Express general dentistry service offers a flat fee of $195/unit with guaranteed two week turnaround.
For complex cases, we subscribe to a simple philosophy of records + planning + communication = predictable success. Bay View has long been associated with CR and joint based occlusion, be it from Spear, the Pankey Institute, Kois, or The Dawson Academy.
