• I first joined PFJ as a graduate straight out of University. • I started my career within the market research arena, working for MORI and ORC for seven years total, before pursuing a career in recruitment within this sector.  I joined RPCushing Recruitment in October 2004, and we became part of the PFJ network in January 2009.

   

  RPCushing is a great place to progress your career - I started as a Consultant, and was quickly promoted to Senior Consultant, Team Leader and then Head of Practice for Market Research. • I started at PFJ as a Consultant in April 2008 having worked in a number of jobs, including finance and publishing (to name a few). I found working in recruitment fairly daunting at first - the idea of calling people unsolicited filled me with horror! However, I had some really good training and a fantastic mentor to sit with me and 'hold my hand' through the first few months. At first I felt that things were going slowly, but as I began placing temps my confidence grew and I actually relished the challenge of making calls and seeing whether the client would buy into me. Two and a half years later I am now an Executive Consultant and have almost quadrupled my basic income from when I started. • I started at pfj 5 years ago when I knew nothing about media and absolutely nothing about recruitment. Now I head up the team I started in, which at the time, was a launch area, and we are now the number one supplier in the Agency marketplace. I have been given the chance to take different paths at PFJ - both a billing and then a management route - which has really helped me get where I am today. I started as consultant, progressed to senior consultant and then executive consultant within 2 years. PFJ had always encouraged me to give management a go, so when I felt ready I started as a team manager and received some superb bespoke management training.
