The mission of Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) is to empower teens and their famiies in our community to realize their emotional and social potential through counseling and preventive education. Founded in 1975, ACS serves nearly 3,000 teens and their families annually in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties through three programs: the On-Campus Counseling Program, providing free counseling to students at 8 schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District, Sequoia Union High School District and the Las Lomitas School District; the Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program, providing asessment, outpatient treatment, aftercare and preventive education to teens and their families struggling with substance abuse and addition; and our pilot Adolescent Counseling Program providing affordable assessment, counseling, and education to teens and familes in and around the greater Silicon Valley community during the evening hours.
