Becoming the first Turkish company to place amongst the largest 100 pharmaceutical companies in the world, Abdi İbrahim came into existence in 1912 as a small pharmaceutical laboratory. Maintaining its strong vision, dynamic structure and modern outlook, the company has become the leader in the Turkish pharmaceutical sector in terms of turnover and total box sales. Abdi İbrahim employees the largest number of people, with close to 3,500 qualified personnel, and possesses the widest marketing & sales team within the sector.
Securing an important position in the pharmaceutical sector with a portfolio of 150 brands, 250 products, a production capacity of 352 million boxes, a transportation strength of 14,500 palettes and close to 30 licensors, Abdi İbrahim has carried this success to the international platform with exports to over 20 countries.
In possessing Turkey’s first accredited R&D center and dedicating 5% of its yearly turnover to research and development, Abdi İbrahim has with its 28 international patent applications been the leader in this field from 2008 to 2011.
Abdi İbrahim operates with a responsibility to people and the environment and its efforts within this arena have been awarded by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. Signing the Global Compact agreement in 2010, Abdi İbrahim conducts all its operations under the principles of reliability, transparency and accountability.
