Central Texas Airport is designed as a privately-owned general aviation facility open for public use, with privately imposed restrictions that enhance CTA’s business operations and maximize compatibility with the surrounding rural community area. CTA was carefully designed to meet or exceed all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards for noise and land use compatibility. All FAA designated levels of incompatible noise, safety zones and buffer areas are contained within the boundaries of the airport site. The design of CTA is regarded as more compatible and compliant with its surrounding environment than 95% of the nation’s 5,000+ general aviation airports.
Central Texas Airport (CTA) is proud to bring a unique level of aviation access and service to Bastrop County and the Central Texas region.
CTA will be the nation’s first “green airport,” developed privately to provide the missing vital national and regional air transportation component for Central Texas. CTA will be located within a unique master-planned corporate campus project named Green Corporate Centers (GCC). Both CTA and GCC represent “first-ever” developments.
Central Texas Airport, LLC (CTA), is a private investment venture created to acquire land entitled for the development, ownership and operation of the new Central Texas Airport near Austin, in Bastrop County, Texas. CTA is being developed as a “franchise-able model” demonstration of sustainable balance between nature and technology. Further, the CTA model is intended to be the new blueprint for future airport construction and retrofitting of existing military and municipality-owned airport facilities, worldwide.
Central Texas Airport represents the first and largest business enterprise in Green Corporate Centers. Many more business enterprises will be introduced, developed or located in this leading edge energy and communications development initiative.
