The thread of tradition woven throughout our Verlo Mattress Factory Stores family originated in 1958, with its founders, Guy Day and Dale Williams. Ten years later, Guy and Dale unveiled the handcrafted, personalized mattresses to their customers in Wheeling, Ill. It was there they operated under the guise, Wheeling Furniture Company. Twenty years later, after incorporation in Wisconsin, Guy and Dale added a personal touch to their personalized sleep products. They changed their unique store's moniker to Verlo, to reflect their wives' names, Verna and Lois. There are 25 franchises in 46 locations.
