The School
Situated in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, the Cookery School occupies a 5-storey town house which has been specifically converted to provide a teaching kitchen for 16 students and a demonstration kitchen that seats 50. There is a wide variety of courses on offer from one day workshops to the six month diploma specificially designed for people who want to work in the food industry. All the teaching staff have a wealth of culninary experience and knowledge.
Corporate Entertaining/Team Building
The School provides cooking corporate entertainment or team building days or evenings which can be buit around specific client's requirements. It has a beautiful dining room which has panoramic views over Queen Street Gardens to the Firth of Forth. This makes a an ideal venue for private dinners and receptions and is also available to be hired out as a meeting room.
Fiona Burrell - Cookery School Principal
Before moving to Edinburgh, Fiona worked for 12 years at the world renowned Leiths School of Food and Wine, latterly as Principal. Fiona has also worked at length as a freelance consultant; writing, teaching, developing recipes and leading cookery demonstrations. She is a regular contributor to BBC Radio Scotland, Kitchen Cafe.
