At Global Agents, we are dedicated to the possibility of a world where no one lives in poverty.
To get there, we partner with strong leaders and innovative projects determined to find lasting solutions to poverty. Through our social ventures, we raise capital and engage the leaders of tomorrow. With our partners, we utilize this capital and energy to catalyze the best and brightest ideas of our generation.
Global Agents currently operates the following youth driven projects and programs:
• Riding to Break the Cycle: Cycling tours providing a unique learning experience while generating critical discussion, funds and awareness for global poverty. Annual routes across Europe, North America and Cambodia have raised over $200,000, engaged thousands of people and gained significant media attention.
• Global Catalyst Initiative: the summer 2011 rides will raise funds towards 2 projects pursuing sustainable solutions to global poverty. This year's grant winners are Kito International and Educate!
• Education Generation: An online community providing scholarships for young developing world leaders, $20 at a time. Beta launched in fall 2008, this program already has over 300 members, has funded 103 students and raised over $20,000 USD.
• Young Agents for Change: Funding and ongoing mentorship for young BC social entrepreneurs (12-20) with local and global projects capable of meaningful impact. Over 25 young leaders have been supported since 2008.
