A non-profit, clinically-based consortium of Boston's leading teaching hospitals and universities, the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT) fosters interdisciplinary collaboration among world-class experts in translational research, medicine, science and engineering, in concert with industry, foundations and government, to rapidly improve patient care by accelerating the clinical impact of innovative technologies.
A UNIQUIE CONSORTIUM
As a network of hospitals, research laboratories and engineering schools, CIMIT exists as an infrastructure to enable inter-institutional collaboration. Through CIMIT, researchers from 2 or more area institutions can more easily work together in teams to get their bold ideas funded and facilitated while concentrating on the science.
A CLARITY OF FOCUS
CIMIT focuses on novel devices, procedures and innovations to improve patient care with programs in Clinical Systems Innovation, Image Guided Therapy, Inhalation Technology, Neurotechnology, Traumatic Stress Disorders, Simulation, Traumatic Brain Injury & Neurotrauma and Trauma & Casualty Care.
GRANTS FOR INNOVATION
CIMIT grants and awards support early stage, collaborative research projects for improving patient care, with emphasis on devices, procedures, diagnosis, and clinical systems.
