EVOKE Contemporary is a lofty gallery space in an historic 1800’s building on prominent Lincoln Avenue in the downtown Santa Fe GALA Arts District. Established in 2009 among the grand collection of galleries in the downtown district, EVOKE brings a fresh verve to the street with a schedule of great art exhibitions introducing new international artists to the scene - Latin American masters include Javier Marín, Ricardo Pinto and Yuri Zatarain. The focus of the gallery is to introduce and exhibit contemporary artists that present extraordinary, provocative and noteworthy contributions to the arts. A few of the icons represented include Lynn Boggess, Matthew Cornell, Teresa Elliott, Louisa McElwain, Lee Price, Wade Reynolds, Jorge Santos, Kent Williams and Pamela Wilson. Sculptors showing at EVOKE along with Javier Marín include Christyl Boger, David Simon and Gary Weisman.
With the opening of the new wing of the Museum of New Mexico History, the prestigious new Santa Fe Convention Center, the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, The New Mexico Museum of Art and the other eight prominent galleries, Lincoln Avenue and the GALA Arts District have much to offer art aficionados.
