On the front-end, we've been building rich client applications (HTML/Javascript/CSS) for the past few years and done work for mobile devices (HTML5/CSS3). Coding on the server we prefer to serve data as JSON from RESTful interfaces (JAX-RS, JRuby). Lately we've built with SOLR, Camel and Clojure.
