MISSION STATEMENT
Taller San Jose walks wounded young people out of poverty by offering the hope of a productive and self-reliant future.
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
Taller San Jose offers job training programs in Construction, Medical, and Office Careers. Students participate in resume writing, mock interviews, and other job coaching activities, while personal development workshops on financial literacy, healthy relationships, and other topics reduce their barriers to building productive lives. Program components work to help each young person accomplish Taller San Jose’s Seven Steps to Success.
Taller San Jose’s 16 week training programs simulate the workforce; students earn a $100 weekly stipend and must have right-to-work documents, as well as show up everyday, on time and drug free. Case Managers follow up with students for 24 months after program graduation and alumni are encouraged to attend supplemental trainings, workshops, and special events.
