Revolutionary Cooling Concept!
MeeFog™ evaporative coolers have been successfully deployed to dramatically reduce the cost of cooling as the primary technology to directly cool a 30 MW data center.
Mee Industries has been in the fogging business 40 years, and we have thousands of installations around the world. Facility managers rank cooling at the top of their list of concerns. Fog systems use a small fraction of the energy of mechanical chillers. Along with airside economizers, using Meefog for cooling and humidification results in a large energy savings and reduction to the connected electrical load. The fog cooling method is gaining in popularity due to its low operating cost, low environmental impact, controllability, and ease of incorporation into existing air handling systems.
MeeFog systems are a cost effective and energy efficient way to cool large volumes of air. For instance, a typical fog system uses about one horsepower for every 700 lb. of water per hour. The evaporation of one lb. of water at room temperature removes around 1100 BTUs, and for each HP fog removes about 770,000 BTUs/Hour, which equates to more than 64 tons of cooling. Thus, a fogging system with a 7.5 HP motor could potentially replace a 500 ton chiller. The MeeFog nozzle produces a spray with 90% of the water flow in droplets that are 20 microns or smaller.
Benefits:
7.5kW fogging system = 500 ton chiller.
Low installation and maintenance costs.
Negligible pressure drop saves fan HP.
