We are a registered charity with over 30 years experience of providing autism specific services. We provide a wide – and ever growing – range of services for children, young people and adults who have an Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
Today our services include education for children aged 4-19, post 19 education and social/vocational training along with supported and open employment opportunities for adults. We provide year round residential placements and an ever increasing range of social and leisure opportunities within the North East Community for people of all ages.
We recognise that everyone is unique and that autism affects each person uniquely. That’s why all our staff are trained to pay close attention to the ‘little things’ – the small details of everyday life which can have such a huge impact on the well being and confidence of a person who has autism.
We dedicate our time and resources to help us get to know each person who uses our services. We strive to understand their needs, aspirations and the ways in which he or she is affected by autism.
We can then work with that person, their parents or carers and statutory services to develop a person centred plan which is specifically tailored to enable him/her to achieve, to grow in confidence and to live life to the full.
