was founded with the goal of developing into a small, worldclass design firm. Each SRA Shareholder made the decision to be hands on and directly responsible to their Clients for the success of each project. The majority of our Shareholders left large design firms explicitly for the opportunity to be a productive member of a small collaborative organization; a firm which would strive to be “great” rather than “big”. This necessitated determining the right things to say “no” to; an impossibility at large firms constantly in need of more business. With a diverse combination of Shareholders in place, we developed a flexible, responsive organization which combines advanced operational know how with elevated aesthetic sensibilities. Because our Shareholders are directly involved with every phase of each project, the number of experienced SRA professionals is unusually high as compared to most firms our size or larger. According to the Austin Business Journal (Book of lists, Interior Designers and Architects 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), we maintain the highest ratio of Registered Professionals to Interns in Austin, Texas. These SRA professionals have the breath of experience to listen carefully to our clients and respond with designs appropriate to their context, then community, brand identity, and the dreams. Listening to our clients define what they believe is appropriate on each project and making their vision a reality is a hallmark of our firm’s design process and the continuing basis of our firm. Not spotlighting a “Celebrity” designer that creates whatever is the current trend receiving awards that year and without consideration of the Clients satisfaction is SRA’s objective of each project.
