L’ATELIER DE JOËL ROBUCHON
The philosophy of the counter where you dine at L’Atelier is one of interactivity. The eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the diners’ food is prepared. Robuchon utilises this format as a chef can actually gauge the reaction of his clients, and even converse with those regulars that wish to participate. In turn diners may watch their food being prepared by consummate professionals in the Japanese inspired lay out. At L’Atelier you can eat the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment in less than an hour should you so wish.
LA CUISINE DE JOËL ROBUCHON
La cuisine, the restaurant on the first floor of the building can be compared to actually dining in a kitchen, however, in keeping with L’Atelier’s accessible concept exactly the same menu is served upstairs in La Cuisine as downstairs in L’Atelier. Seated in a more traditional restaurant format, La Cuisines suits larger parties of guests, however all patrons can still easily observe their dishes being prepared in the open plan kitchen.
LE SALON BAR
This opulent and intimate space is located on the third floor. Here the designer has integrated blood red leather chairs with an impressive solid black marble fireplace.
Internationally renowned designer Pierre Yves Rochon whose impressive projects include Le George V Hotel in Paris, and L’Hotel Hermitage in Monte Carlo as well as Essex House in New York has employed Robuchon’s signature colours and ideas throughout the building. The design reflects the aforementioned simplicity of the concept, providing a simple backdrop for the theatre of the kitchen. Sleek black granite surfaces and mirrors coupled with red leather upholstery contribute to the Zen-like atmosphere. In keeping with the highest standards the cocktails served in Le Salon Bar are innovative or classic but all superb.
