ZMG traces its roots to W.D. Scott & Co., one of the oldest consultancy practices in the world. It entered the Philippine market in 1963 and in 1981, W.D. Scott Philippines was organized, with focus on executive search. In 1993, Mr. Jesus M. Zulueta Jr. together with a group of consultants and investors, acquired full control of W.D. Scott Philippines and in a year, ZMG was launched as the firm's new name.

After three years, ZMG became the Philippine partner of Ward Howell International, a worldwide executive search firm with 60 offices in 36 countries. It then changed its name to ZMG Signium Ward Howell International when a new federation of former Ward Howell firms was organized.

Signium International is one of the founders of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) and developed the original professional and ethical standards for our profession. We zealously adhere to the essence and spirit of those standards today.

In 1986, a sister company Asia Select was founded to specialize in the growing demand for engineering and technical requirements.

To date, ZMG Ward Howell is one of the premier executive search firms in the Philippines. It has established its presence in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam and has partners in Asia, Europe and North America, through Signium International.
