The Yale High Throughput Cell Biology Center (Yale HTCB) is affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. Yale HTCB functions as a core services group providing low- and high-content high throughput screening. Utilizing expertise in automation technology, high content imaging, and bioinformatics, the Center specializes in developing and executing novel cell-based assays and in providing tools for probing features of biological significance that can be elucidated using high-throughput high-content methods.
Data generated by screening campaigns will be amalgamated into a knowledge base suitable for exploration by machine-learning algorithms to enable the discovery of new biological significances in silico, and providing bases for future in vitro or possible in vivo investigation. Detailed trees of interconnected biological pathways will be created by combining a priori knowledge with emergent discoveries.
