Vhayu was founded in 1998 by former Intel technologists who were lead architects for the Pentium™ and Merced™ chips. Their combined experience in engineering and software development led to the vision and design of Vhayu's core technology. Their initial focus was to design software powerful and scalable enough to simultaneously capture and analyze every tick of financial market data in order to make faster trading decisions.

The company was granted a patent in 2005 for our method of processing and compressing market data. The underlying multi-threaded architecture which performs user-customizable real-time analytics across massive amounts of streaming data is called MegaTick™. The common limitation of traditional databases is their inability to maintain low latency in real-time in a format that scales accordingly. MegaTick achieves linear scalability through proprietary reliable multi-cast technology. This allows our Velocity products to scale without dramatically increasing overhead as the volumes of data and the number of users increase. All Velocity products are architected with built-in state of the art fault tolerance to provide an enterprise solution that meets the rigorous demands of today's leading financial institutions.
