University of California (UC) is a public, non-sectarian, and coeducational research university. The university comprises of ten campuses, three national laboratories, museums, community programs, and more than 100 libraries. The ten campuses are located in Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. All the campuses, with the exception of Merced, offer undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses. San Francisco offers courses in health sciences exclusively. The UC laboratories include the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. The University of California was founded in 1868 and is based in Oakland, California. The university has endowment assets worth $51.5 billion.
