The company also owns and operates McClatchy Interactive, an interactive operation that provides Web sites with content, publishing tools, hosting services, and software development. In addition, it owns 14.4% of CareerBuilder, an online job site; 25.6% of Classified Ventures, a newspaper industry partnership that offers classified Web sites; cars.com, an auto Web site; and apartments.com, a rental site. The McClatchy Company was founded in 1860 and is headquartered in Sacramento, California.
