The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a non-profit organization that offers natural resource conservation services. The organization develops parks, greenways, community gardens, urban playgrounds, and wilderness. It conducts local, federal, and national programs such as Bay Area Community Parks and Playgrounds, Western Rivers, San Francisco Bay Area, Forest Legacy, Wetlands Reserve, and Tribal Lands programs. TPL offers advisory services for the park financing; assists in generating federal, state, and local conservation funding; and develops public-private partnerships for land-protection. The organization was founded in 1972 and is based in San Francisco, California. TPL has additional offices in Washington, District of Columbia; Honolulu, Hawaii; Sacramento, California; and Chicago, Illinois.
