The New School is a leading New York City university comprising eight schools bound by a common, unusual intent: to prepare and inspire its 9,400 undergraduate and graduate students to bring actual, positive change to the world. The New School attracts students and faculty from around the world. Its alumni comprise an impressive list of economists and actors, fashion designers and urban policy leaders, dancers and anthropologists, orchestra conductors and architects, filmmakers and interior designers, political scientists, organizational experts, jazz musicians, scholars, psychologists, historians, and journalists.


The university offers more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programs, as well continuing education courses -- on campus and online -- throughout the year. Online degree and certificate offerings include a BA/BS in the liberal arts for adult learners, an AAS at Parsons in Fashion Marketing, an MA in Media Studies, an MA in TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages), and certificates in Media Management and Screen Writing.
