The About Group segment consists of the Web sites of About.com, ConsumerSearch.com, UCompareHealthCare.com, and Calorie-Count.com. This segment also holds interest in a Canadian newsprint company and a supercalendered paper manufacturing partnership in Maine; a regional cable sports network that televises the Red Sox game. The New York Times Company has a strategic alliance with Monster Worldwide, Inc. The company was founded in 1896 and is headquartered in New York City, New York.
