Softhouse was started in Malmö in 1996 by 3 partners. Today the Softhouse Group has over 110 employees worldwide. It is headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, and has local offices in Karlskrona and Stockholm. Through its subsidiary Qvantel it also has presence in Helsinki Finland, and Hyderabad, India.

Most of the employees at Softhouse have a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or a similar degree from university and extensive experience from the software industry.
