SkyWest, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiaries, operates regional airlines in the United States. It offers scheduled passenger and air freight services with approximately 2,400 daily departures to 229 destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The company also provides ground handling services for approximately nine other airlines throughout its system. SkyWest operates as a Delta Connection carrier in Salt Lake City; and as a United Express carrier in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, and the Pacific Northwest. As of December 31, 2006, its fleet consisted of 235 CRJ200s, 92 CRJ700s, 9 CRJ900s, 62 Brasilia turboprops, and 12 ATR-72 turboprops. The company was founded in 1972 and is headquartered in St. George, Utah.
