Treasury provides core economic and financial policy advice to the Queensland Government, as well as services to the community, to enhance the State's financial position and economic performance, supporting sustainable long-term economic growth.

Through sound financial management strategies, policies, standards, systems, procedures and related reforms, Queensland Treasury:

* helps the Government manage the State's finances, which includes preparing and overseeing the State Budget each year to meet the needs of Queensland’s communities
* delivers services in the areas of revenue collection and administration, economic and statistical research, and motor accident and public liability insurance
* takes a lead role in assisting the Queensland Government to be accountable and transparent in delivering services to Queensland communities.
