Polimoda, International Institute of Fashion Design & Marketing is an Italian centre of excel-lence, recognized worldwide for its high quality, fashion-oriented, didactic offer.
With its headquarters in the Florentine Villa Strozzi, Polimoda started in 1986 as a joint project co-financed by the cities of Florence and Prato, along with entreprenurial associations and the collabora-tion of the Fashion Institute of Tecnhology, State University of New York.
Mr. Ferruccio Ferragamo, president of the same company, was appointed President of Polimoda in March 2006.
The project of development and implementation of Polimoda has been assigned from January 2007 to a new Director, Linda Loppa. Mrs. Loppa, a world renowned name in the fashion field, has been working on reassessing the image of the Institute, thanks to her solid, professional background and projectual as well as creative skills, aimed at improving quality, research and creativity.
More than 950 students, 40% of whom from abroad, and more than 90% already employed 6 months after completion of studies: these are the numbers of the Institute, confirming the success of a didactic formula allowing students to become qualified for all work profiles required by the fashion field, thanks to a team of professors with long term-experience in the fashion industry.
