Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, together with its subsidiaries, provides telecommunications services in the Philippines. It operates in three segments: Wireless, Fixed Line, and Information and Communications Technology. The Wireless segment offers cellular services; voice services; data services; wireless broadband, satellite, VSAT, and other services. This segment also sells cellular handsets and cellular SIM-packs. The Fixed Line segment provides local exchange service; international and national long distance services; data and other network service, including leased lines, as well as IP-based, packet-based, and switched-based services; directory advertising and facilities rental; and the sale of computers. The Information and Communications Technology segment offers call center, business process outsourcing, Internet and gaming, and IT helpdesk/contact center solutions, as well as terminals for credit, debit, and credit card transactions. This segment also resells certain software licenses, server solutions, networking products, storage products, and data security products. As of December 31, 2006, the company had 24,175,384 subscribers; 1,776,647 fixed line subscribers; and 264,649 broadband subscribers.
