About North Hennepin Community College:
North Hennepin Community College opened its doors to 414 students in the former Osseo Senior High School September of 1966 and just recently celebrated its 40th anniversary of educating a diverse community of learners to maximize their intellectual, creative and leadership potential.
Throughout the past four decades, North Hennepin Community College has had an overwhelming number of successful students, outstanding alumni, solid business partnerships and dedicated faculty and staff. Enrollment has grown to more than 13,000 credit and non-credit students each year. New programs and degrees continue to meet the changing needs of the communities we serve and new facilities provide comfortable and productive learning environments for our students.
North Hennepin Community College thrives on allowing students the opportunity to experience a diverse educational environment. We encourage our students to express their thoughts and feelings openly, and in a respectable manner, by providing an environment that is inclusive of all students regardless of their race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, accent, sex, gender identity, socioeconomic status, age, and disability status, as well as religious, spiritual, political, and cultural viewpoints or practices. Our hope is that our students will learn from other fellow students by expressing their views while utilizing an open mind, active listening skills, and an engaged voice in the dialogue.
Mission:
