Launched, in February 2008, mydeco was founded by Brent Hoberman and Martha Lane Fox , co-founders of lastminute.com. In September 2008, mydeco secured £7.35 million in a second round of funding led by Sofinnova Partners, and including SRPE, Amadeus Capital Partners and Burda Cross Media. This investment follows a seed round in late 2007 led by SPARK Ventures (who remain a major shareholder), taking total funding to over £12.5 million.
