MVP.com was acquired by SportLine.com in 2001, after the company ceased operations. MVP.com is an online retailer of sports, fitness and outdoor equipment and apparel. The website also provides insightful advice from its advisory board, made up of some of the world’s top athletes such as John Elway, Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky, and covering the full spectrum of sports and activities. MVP.com’s partners include sporting goods retailer Galyan’s Trading Co., SportsLine.com, and The CBS Corporation. The company also operates the e-commerce sites for Faceoff.com, SportsLine.com, majorleaguebaseball.com and pgatour.com. The Company closed in Jan 2001, with its remaining assets going to Sportsline.com.
