The specialty chemicals business manufactures, markets, and distributes specialty chemicals, such as activated carbon used in emission control systems for automobiles and trucks, as well as chemicals used in printing inks, asphalt paving, adhesives, and lubricants. In addition, the company also produces engineered materials, such as friction papers used in the automotive industry, base papers for pressure sensitive tapes, coated covers for demanding commercial printing jobs, and various special application papers.
