LARTA - The L.A. Regional Technology Alliance provides venture capital, seed funding, economic research, and business assistance to entrepreneurs and companies. LARTA was formed in 1993 as Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance. LARTA was formed as a result of legislation enacted by the State of California in response to the 300,000 jobs lost in Southern California as a result of defense downsizing.
