In the projects that Id-Lab develops, design is treated as a theoretical and practical working method. We foster intuition, we organize ideas, we evaluate problems, we try out solutions, we select the best solution, and then we start over again from scratch, and so on.

We design and produce interactive objects and services, architecture and interior design with high technological content. We design museums, exhibitions, and installations, pavilions and exhibits for fairs and corporations. We develop and create information and communication systems for institutions, and interactions between consumers and services. We are experts in image-archiving systems, cultural resources and assets, analogue and digital archives for the creative entrepreneurs and corporations of fashion, design, and entertainment; we do corporate identity, brand design, and digital communications, as well as interactive applications for financial communications. We study and analyze social networks, we play with video, images, and words. This is hardly an exhaustive list.
In the field of education and training, Id-Lab organizes interactive design courses and workshops on new electronic technologies, both software and hardware: presenting technologies as tools at the service of industrial designers, artists, architects, and programmers.? Id-Lab has worked on education projects with the Architectural Association of London; the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA, or New Academy of Fine Arts) in Milan; I.FO.L.D.(Istituto Formazione Lavoro Donne, Cagliari); Fondazione per la Scuola della Compagnia di San Paolo; and the Region of Tuscany.
