Hollywood Entertainment Corporation operates a chain of video stores in the United States. It provides DVDs, videocassettes of selected movies, and video games for rent. The company also offers new and used movies and video games for sale. In addition, it provides video game hardware, software, and accessories. As of December 31, 2004, the company operated 2,006 Hollywood Video stores, out of which 695 stores included an in-store Game Crazy department. As of the same date, it operated 20 free-standing Game Crazy stores in 47 states and the District of Columbia. Hollywood Entertainment was founded in 1988 and is headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon. As of April 27, 2005 Hollywood Entertainment Corp. is a subsidiary of Movie Gallery Inc.
