Originally established in 1941, HBF (Hospital Benefit Fund) is Western Australia's largest Private Health Insurer, with more than 900,000 members.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and our focus on members, not stakeholders, has made us one of WA's most highly regarded organisations. This focus has resulted in excellent services and low premium increases. In 2006 HBF Health paid out a record $604 million in health claims or about $2.4 million claims each working day.

Members benefit from a large range of insurances, including health, car, travel, home, contents & personal valuables, caravan, trailer, life and boat, and our vision is to lead the way in improving the health and wellbeing of everyone in the West Australian community. This is supported by our Community Health Advocacy program.
