Entergy Corporation (Entergy) is an integrated energy company engaged in electric power production and retail electric distribution operations. Entergy owns and operates power plants with approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity. Entergy owns and operates the second largest fleet of nuclear plants in the United States.

Entergy's regulated utility delivers electricity to 2.7 million utility customers in AR, LA, MS, and TX. Five of the company’s eleven nuclear plants are in the regulated utility. The Company's non-regulated wholesale electricity business produces, markets, and sells wholesale electricity generated at six nuclear units in NY, VT, MA, and MI. Recent Events:

Entergy is currently in the process of spinning off non-core nuclear assets in the North East US and Michigan into a new company called Enexus Energy Corporation. This new company will be the nation's first stand-alone, publicly traded nuclear-energy generating and marketing company. Entergy will also join Enexus in a 50/50 joint venture name EquaGen LLC, which will be the nation's premier nuclear operator.
