DnB NOR ASA, through its subsidiaries, provides financial services primarily in Norway. It operates through five divisions: Corporate Banking and Payment Services, Retail Banking, Markets, Vital Life Insurance and Pensions, and Asset Management. The Corporate Banking and Payment Services division offers asset finance, factoring, and related administrative services in the corporate market and public sector, as well as car loans to retail customers; advisory services, including portfolio analyses, valuations, development opportunities, and property strategies; and financing for commercial property in urban areas in Norway. The Retail Banking division offers investment advisory services, and telephone and internet banking; investment advisory services, which includes private banking; real estate brokerage services; and nonlife insurance products. The Markets division provides foreign exchange and interest rate products; securities and other investment products; debt and equity financing in capital markets; and research and advisory services, as well as custodial and other securities services. The Vital Life Insurance and Pensions division offers defined-benefit and defined-contribution occupational pension schemes; long-term savings alternatives in the form of individual pension agreements and annuities; and contractual occupational pension schemes. The Asset Management division services include investment fund and discretionary portfolio management, including management and monitoring of investment portfolios, as well as advisory services relating to asset allocation and risk levels.
