It also produces plastic bags, wraps, and containers under the Glad brand; cat litter products under Step and Scoop Away brands; food products, including salad dressings and dip mixes, seasoned mini-croutons, seasonings, sauces and marinades, primarily under the Hidden Valley and KC Masterpiece brands; charcoal products, including charcoal briquets, charcoal lighter fluid, and wood chips under the Kingsford and Match Light brands. Clorox sells its products through mass merchandisers and grocery, warehouse club, dollar, military, and other types of retail stores in the United States and internationally in approximately 100 countries. The company was founded in 1913 as Electro-Alkaline Company and changed its name to Clorox Chemical Corporation in 1922. Further, it changed its name to Clorox Chemical Co. in 1928 and to The Clorox Company in 1957. The company is headquartered in Oakland, California.
