Publicly traded and listed at Bovespa as CTIP3, CETIP S.A. was jointly created by financial institutions and the Central Bank of Brazil and commenced operations in 1986, providing more safety and efficiency to operations in the Brazilian financial markets.

CETIP is the dominant OTC markets infrastructure in Brazil and the largest CSD - Central Securities Depository for corporate bonds and OTC derivatives in Latin America, presently holding approximately US$ 1,5 trillion of diversified assets under custody.
It ensures the support required for the entire cycle of transactions in fixed income securities and OTC derivatives.

CETIP’s trustworthiness and reliability has brought into use the expression “cetiped”, one that is widely used within the Brazilian financial markets to express quality in terms of a Seal of Guarantee.

CETIP operates in the entire Brazilian territory and comprises an interconnected financial network, which operates in real time. All Brazilian banks are participants of CETIP, in addition to real estate companies, broker dealers, investment funds, insurance companies, pension funds and non-financial companies who issue securities, and others.
The markets served by CETIP are regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil and the CVM – Securities and Exchange Commission.
