Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) is a non-profit, 977-bed referral, academic, and community medical center in Los Angeles, California. CSMC is a business unit of Cedars-Sinai Health System, which includes a top rated managed care network and world renowned research institute. Regional center of excellence for cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology, transplant services, women's health, chronic diseases, medical genetics, orthopaedics and spine treatment .

In the 2008 U.S. News & World Report rankings, Cedars-Sinai once again made the "Best of the Best" Honor Roll, which comprises the top hospitals ranked highly in the most number of categories. Of the more than 5,400 U.S. hospitals, only 170 were ranked in at least one specialty, and of those 170, only 19 made the Honor Roll.

Also in 2008, Cedars-Sinai was re-awarded the Magnet Excellence in Nursing designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Cedars-Sinai is one of only six hospitals to receive this designation three times, which recognizes commitment to nursing development and quality care.
