Big Lottery Fund (BIG) distributes half of the funding the National Lottery raises for good causes. Our funding covers health, the environment, education and charitable purposes.
Our mission is to bring real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need.
Since we launched BIG in 2004 we have distributed over £2.7 billion to thousands of projects across the UK.
We award close to £2 million in lottery good cause money every 24 hours, which together with other Lottery distributors means that across the UK most people are within a few miles of a Lottery-funded project.
