The Industrial Chemicals segment manufactures acrylic esters and super-absorbents, oxo-alcohols, and phthalic anhydride and dioctylphthalate; and PMMA resins, as well as cast or extruded sheets for construction, automobiles, sanitary ware, commercial display signs, electronics, and household goods. It also offers amines, oxygenated solvents, and rubber additives for animal feed industry, polymers, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, natural gas odorizers, solvents, and petrochemicals; and hydrochlorofluorocarbons and hydrofluorocarbons for the refrigeration and foams. In addition, this segment provides hydrogen peroxide, sodium chlorate and sodium perchlorate, hydrazine hydrate, and its derivatives. The Performance Products segment manufactures technical polymers, including specialty polyamides, PVDF, and functional polyolefins; specialty chemicals, such as surfactants, interface agents, molecular sieves, diatomite, activated carbon, and perlite; and functional additives, including organic peroxides, PVC additives, and additives for coatings and catalysts. The company serves agriculture; automotive and transportation; chemicals and processing; construction; electrical and electronics; health, hygiene, and beauty; packaging; pulp and paper; sports and leisure; and water markets. It has strategic partnership with Zyvex Corporation to develop commercial nanomaterials applications; and joint venture with Daikin Industries, Ltd. to produce the refrigerant hydrofluorocarbon (HFC)-125 in China, as well as to market refrigerant fluid blends in the Asia/Pacific region.
